JC’s Thanksgiving feast is on again!
A bit of gravy for the lady’s mashed potatoes? No problem, there’s always plenty at the annual Free Community Thanksgiving Potluck Feast at the First United Methodist Church. The church provides the basics, and a couple hundred friends and neighbors bring sides and go-withs, and everyone eats until they’re about to burst…then they hit the dessert table. Johnson City’s favorite Thanksgiving Day tradition is on again this year: the annual Free Community Thanksgiving Potluck Feast at the First United Methodist Church. It’s a true old-fashioned neighborhood-style event. The church provides the basics, volunteers do the cooking, a couple hundred folks bring side dishes, salads, and desserts, and everyone sits down to a full plate.
