Lady Eagles sweep Jarrell in district opener

The Lady Eagles opened District 25-3A play with a commanding three-team sweep of the visiting Jarrell Lady Cougars last Tuesday in front of the home crowd at LBJHS Gym. The Freshmen fought off a late challenge by Jarrell to win the two-set match 25-18, 25-23. After a Set 1 25-22 win the JV dropped Set 2 16-25, then bounced back to take Set 3 25-20 for the win. The Varsity match was well worth the price of admission and closer than the 3-0 final tally.
