Family Separation Harms Children
I read with horror of the conditions at the Border Patrol detention center in Clint, Texas. Children without beds, going hungry and unable to even wash their hands. Border Patrol agents report that children as young as 5 months are detained here, with no adult to care for them. How did these children come to be in such a place? The wait time to cross the border at an official point of entry can be months.
