Asylum Seekers are here for Opportunity
I was back in McAllen volunteering at the Humanitarian Respite Center a few weeks ago. My experience gave me hope, even though the situation is dire. Catholic Charities, which operates the center, is stepping up to serve the 400+ asylum seekers who arrive at its doorstep every day. They are moving into a larger facility.
