Pastor’s POV: Why Go to the Baccalaureate This Sunday?
Before arriving in Johnson City, I never, ever heard of a Baccalaureate service, much less participated in one, so I was pleasantly surprised when I heard that this has been an-end-of the-school-year tradition for graduating seniors of LBJ High for many years. But since it has a particularly Christian component, I was wondering how it could even be legal, since I came from a state that outlawed Jesus decades ago.
