As a result of new tariffs imposed specifically on newsprint, the cost of newsprint has increased significantly. Our printers are passing along these costs to the paper, and we must ask the readership to share in the costs. As a result, effective Aug. 15, 2018, the price of a single copy of the paper will increase to $1 from $.75. The last time the cost of a single copy of the Johnson City Record Courier was raised was in 2006, when the price went from $.50 to the current rate of $.75.
