County’s Historical Marker Refurbishing Continues
Commissioner Pat Weiss and high school student Luke Whittington. Both are working to refurbish the marker by the jail on the square in Johnson City. Whittington is earning community service credits for school. “This refurbishing is a multiple step process so we have to wait for paint to dry between steps. We are waiting for the early morning or late evening hours to work on the markers. This is because of the amount of traffic during peak hours and the heat of the day,” Linda Howard said.
