Medals, Gold Seals and Scholarships for High School Artists
LBJ art students went to San Marcus to compete in the 2018 State Visual Arts Scholastic Event. Six Johnson City Art Students came home as State Winners alongside four Gold Seal Medalists, and one student who won a $1500 scholarship for his artwork. These State and Gold Seal Medalists competed against 35,000 students across Texas and will have their work displayed throughout Texas for a year.
LBJ High School Art Students have been creating and showing their art all year long with the direction of art teacher, Diane Hudson. Over the past month they traveled to competition where their work was chosen as some of the best in the state. LBJ High School Students win State VASE is a statewide curricular opportunity for all schools in Texas.
