Hill Country Protest Round Mountain Quarry
Locals rally in Round Mountain against a proposed rock crushing plant last weekend. The permit filed with Texas Commission of Enviromental Quality by Asphalt Inc. is currently in a public comment period until Oct. 9. Protestors are hoping to get a public hearing with Texas Commission on Enviromental Equality and state representatives on the matter.

Round Mountain is slated to be the home of a rock crushing plant unless local protestors are successful in getting the permit denied next week. Local land owners, business owners and ranchers from Round Mountain, Marble Falls and the surrounding area lined US Highway 281 last Saturday and Sunday at the site where Asphalt Inc.
