The Johnson City Eagles opened the 2017 football season with a defensive clean sheet and a very strong offensive showing on the road against the Jarrell Cougars Friday night, with a final score of Johnson City 37, Jarrell 0. Linebacker Tony Medrano led a stout defense with 10 tackles, followed by linebackers Luke Rassett with 5 tackles, and Ethan Heinen with 4.
