Community leaders don’t just happen, they are grown, and the children at LBJ Elementary School are showing how that happens by leading a relief campaign for Hurricane Harvey survivors through next week, with businesses and churches all over Johnson City pitching in to help. Johnson City churches, businesses and families are contributing to a city-wide relief collection for survivors of Hurricane Harvey. Who’s heading up this campaign? The children of LBJ Elementary School! They’re already putting donation boxes around town — at the school, in churches, the library, and at businesses.
