Hundreds fed at Thanksgiving Feast
The essence of Thanksgiving lies somewhere in the image of a kid with a turkey leg, winning the annual contest we all remember taking on as children. This table-warrior was Wyatt Peters, at the Free Community Thanksgiving Potluck Feast at the First United Methodist Church. Starting with 16 turkeys meant drumsticks were in good supply.

A couple of hundred of your friends and neighbors filled the Activity Building of the First United Methodist Church again this year for the annual Free Community Thanksgiving Potluck Feast. Some came as singles or couples, some as families or groups of friends, and there were several extended families who brought their out-of-towners rather than spend all day cooking for them.
