Change to House Bill 26 Results in More Holiday Time for JCISD Students
The JCISD School Board met on October 12, 2015 for their regularly scheduled meeting with all members present. House Bill 2610 has altered the way school districts tabulate required class time for Texas students by measuring the student's time in minutes instead of days. JCISD currently has scheduled class time that exceeds the required number of minutes which is 75,600 minutes per year and results in changes to the current calendar.
