Roll into Andrews, TX for the Wild, Wild West Fest, offering everyone a slice of pure Texas fun. The night skies will be filled with music and dancing under the stars to some of the best Texas Country and TexMex music in the Lone Star State! Friday night, dance to the music of Award-winning Tejano accordionist AJ Castillo. Saturday night, put on your boots and do a little two-steppin’ with Noel Olivas and the Benders opening for well-known Texas Country music artist, Cory Morrow!
There will be plenty of family activities, from Goat Roping and a Ranch Rodeo to Wild West entertainment and a Living History area. Test your quick draw by challenging one of the professional gunslingers with Lone Star Lead & Lace, or enjoy performances by Folkloric Dancers, Country Line Dancers, Mariachi Bands, Cowboy Poetry, Escaramuzas and so much more!!. There will also be an area for the kids to learn how to become “real cowboys” at our Buckaroo Boot Camp.
For the thrill seekers, we’ll have Truck & Tractor Pulls and the Heart of America Carnival. And, just so that no one is left out, there will be plenty of shopping with over 50,000 square feet of vendor booths, an amateur and professional art show, a fly-in pilots’ breakfast, parade and antique tractor and classic car shows.
In addition, we’re rustlin’ in the best cooks in these parts! Come take in the sights & smells of the Texas ShootOut BBQ Cook-off (IBCA sanctioned Jack Daniels qualifying cook-off!) Following the final turn in, tasting cups will be sold with proceeds benefiting “Be the Match” (operating the largest and most diverse marrow registry in the world.) And, just so you don’t feel guilty about eating all of that BBQ, Saturdaymorning we’ll host a 5K Walk/Run also benefitting “Be the Match”. So, put on your running shoes and join us in supporting this great cause!
