Peach Season
Stonewall, Texas

Peaches are in season May-September in the Texas Hill Country. Freestone varieties are quite popular starting in the middle of June, usually around the Jamboree. Most fruit stands offer peaches already picked along with fresh produce, ice cream, pies, and preserves locally made with family recipes.

This year, we will not be having the annual Stonewall Peach Jamboree, but we are eagerly planning for the 60th Anniversary slated for 2021.

Just because we aren’t having the Jamboree, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t come visit!

A single pick-your-own farm is fun for those wishing to get out in an orchard.

The peach stand owners and employees are experts in helping you pick the perfect peach. You may be talking to a Peach Queen, past or present, when getting the sweet fruit.

When planning a trip to Stonewall, one can choose between a quiet RV park, newly remodeled retro motel and an assortment of short term rental homes in town or the surrounding countryside.

Stonewall leads a quiet life until the weekend hits!

Visiting mid-week allows one to enjoy our tiny town surrounded by growing businesses.

Besides peaches, our town has several wineries and tasting rooms and several very unique experiences. An interactive elephant preserve and a seasonal canning class are unique and must-dos when getting peaches this summer. Our LBJ state and national parks are also here for outdoor adventure.
