Western Trappings on The Llano, a juried exhibit and sale featuring the finest in original art and custom western gear, is again slated to be held at the Llano County Historical Museum, 310 Bessemer Ave. in Llano. Now in its seventh year, Trappings showcases 113 pieces of artwork created by 53 world renowned artists from all over the United States and will be displayed from Oct 19 through Nov 2. The artwork includes Western themed paintings, drawings, watercolors, photography, ceramics, jewelry, custom spurs, belt buckles, handmade knives, metal and glass sculptures, bronzes and one fabric piece.

The Llano County Historical Museum is pleased to host an Opening Night Meet the Artists Gala & Preview Sale on October 18, beginning at 5:30 p.m. This event provides a first-hand look at the art and gear, along with a chance to mingle with the artists. Saturday, Oct 19, features the first full day of the Western Trappings on The Llano exhibition at the Museum, opening at 10:00 a.m. An art auction comprised of 53 pieces from the exhibiting artists is also scheduled on October 19, and benefits the Llano County Historical Museum. The live auction will be held at the Llano County Historical Museum. The auction preview begins at 1:00 p.m., with bidding to start at 2:00 p.m., and provides an entertaining way to acquire the finest in original western art. Proceeds from the sale enable the Museum to continue to bring quality exhibits and displays to our local community.
