126th Comal County Fair And Rodeo

September 21-29 are the dates for the 126th Comal County Fair and Rodeo in New Braunfels.

The fairgrounds will be filled with activities and entertainment for folks of all ages.

Fair events kick off with a barbecue cookoff Saturday, September 21. Included in the day’s events will be Mutton Bustin, Pig Wrangling, Stick Horse Races, a Washer Pitching Contest, Best Dressed Western and new this year is a Farm Race and Calf Halter Scramble.

The Comal County Fair Queen and her court will be crowned on sunday.

Musical entertainment in the Comal Corral begins on Tuesday night with Outlaw Country DJ Sammy Moreno, followed Wednesday night by A Night in Old New Braunfels with country DJ Stan Elliott. Live musicians take the stage Thursday when County Line Band opens for Glen Templeton. Friday night Monte Good opens for Rick Trevino, and Saturday Gary Glenn and the 20x Band opens for well known singer/songwriter Eddy Raven. The Jeremy Richards Band closes out the fair on sunday evening. In addition, School of Rock, a local group of young musicians will provide entertainment Saturday and Sunday afternoon. All Corral Entertainment is free with gate admission.

PRCA Rodeo performances will take place Thursday through Saturday nights with professional cowboys from all around risking their necks for the prize. Then Sunday afternoon those daredevil bull riders do their thing.

A giant parade through downtown New Braunfels takes place friday morning.

The Heart of America Shows Carnival will be back to provide the thrills and chills of the midway.

Plus there’s so much more. Texas Agrilife and D&D Farm and Ranch along with H-E-B providing a fun and educational kids zone.

There’ll be an antique tractor pull, a livestock show, the popular baby barnyard, some very interesting exhibits, as well as some some delicious and unique food and drink offered in the food court.

Admission to the fair is free on Sunday with a canned food that will be donated to the local S-O-S food bank. So come join us for the 126th Comal County Fair and Rodeo September 21-29 at the fairgrounds on Common Street in New Braunfels.
