Blanco Performing Arts is delighted and honored to present The American String Quartet in concert on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 7:30 pm.

Few would have predicted that when Blanco Performing Arts in the small Hill Country town of Blanco, Texas began nine years ago that such world-class artists as The American String Quartet would be gracing the stage.

Formed when its original members were students at The Juilliard School, the award-winning quartet has performed worldwide to critical acclaim for more than forty years.

They are highly praised for their presentations of the complete quartets of Beethoven, Schubert, Schoenberg, Bartok, and Mozart.

Their imaginative collaborations with contemporary authors and film composers have won them the reputation as one of the most adventurous and fearless string quartets performing today.

The Blanco audience will experience this truly outstanding concert in the intimate setting of the beautifully restored, historic Uptown Blanco Ballroom.

The concert will include music of Mozart, Beethoven, and Shostakovich.
