Come celebrate the 125th Comal County Fair & Rodeo September 22-30 at the fairgrounds in New Braunfels.
This year’s fair offers the usual excitement and fun, which includes prca rodeo perfomances, prca bullriding, heart of america shows carnival, an antique tractor pull, a giant parade downtown, exhibits, food and drink, plus great musical entertainment for dancing or tapping your feet nightly in the comal corral.
This year’s musical entertainment feautres DJ night on Tuesday, Night in Old New Braunfels on Wednesday, and special performances by some well known entertainers like Doug Stone on Thursday, Rick Trevino Friday night…and taking the stage Saturday…..Tanya Tucker!
An interesting note, Tanya Tucker first appeared at the Comal County Fair when she was just 14 years old. Fair folks are excited to have her making an encore performance this year. And all this entertainment is included in the price of admission to the fairgrounds. Advance tickets may be purchased online at comalcountyfair.org.
There’s some added fun for all with Marty the Magician, a Comedy Gunfight Wild West Stunt Show, and Story Teller Tony and His Tales Of The Wild West and His Authentic Chuck Wagon. And there’s special activities for the kids with the H-E-B Buddy and D&D Kid Zones. Plus there’s the popular Baby Barnyard, Milking Cow Demonstration and a Home Depot Build-It.
The 125th Comal County Fair And Rodeo Kicks Off On Saturday, September 22nd with a Barbeque Cookoff, Mutton Bustin, Pig Wrangling, Stick Horse Races, Washer Pitching Tournament, Best Western Dressed Contest and Rodeo Queen’s Contest.
Sunday, September 23 is the Comal County Fair Queen’s Contest where this year’s queen and her court will be crowned.
Tuesday night, September 25 kicks off the fair with DJ night in the Corral, and of course the giant Heart Of America Shows Carnival. All the entertaining excitement for folks of all ages continues through Sunday, September 30. There’s a livestock show in the barn, some really interesting exhibits entered, and unique, delicious food available in the food court.
It’s a week of great fun, and it all takes place at the fairgrounds on common street in New Braunfels.
