As we begin a new summer season, we reflect on the past summers, and look forward to all the fun to come! We want to cordially invite you to join us this season and take time to come DO the things you’ve always wanted to do but have never taken the time to experience. It’s time to get a “fresh” perspective on Canyon Lake! Make time to take a boat ride across the beautiful, crisp waters of Canyon Lake, or grab a tube and float the magical tree lined Guadalupe River. You could also take a beautifully scenic hike across the Canyon Dam at sunset and view why we are known as the Water Recreation Capital of Texas. Our beautiful area offers 23 boat ramps, “three-day use” picnicking venues, unique vacation lodges and fabulous dining options.
Oh, but wait! There’s more! On April 21, 2018, you won’t want to miss the Chambers’ 20th anniversary “Best of the Best” BBQ cook-off competition! This event supports the continuous endeavors of the Canyon Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Register with the Chamber to enter your cook team, or if you are more into the laid-back feel of Canyon Lake, know that the cook teams aren’t the only ones that can get in on all the action and fun. We love to get the public involved, as well. Come be a part of choosing the best of the best by becoming a “Taste-Tester!” Taste-tester tickets are available for purchase at the cook-off and gives YOU the honor of sampling from any of the participating cook teams and sharing YOUR voice for the “best of the best.” The BBQ cook-off will take place at Joint Base San Antonio, right on the water’s edge of Canyon Lake from 11am-6pm.
