The Rainwater Revival + Hill Country Living Festival – an annual event of the Hill Country Alliance – returns to the Dripping Spring Ranch Park on Saturday, November 4, from 10am to 5pm. It’s free and family friendly.
This event is a major expansion from the past seven years of Rainwater Revival, now with a broader focus on the programs of the Hill Country Alliance – water, land, night sky and community. This year’s event carries a general theme of living lightly and growing responsibly in the Texas Hill County.
As always, the Festival will celebrate the art and common sense of rainwater harvesting, but will also include information about land conservation and stewardship, renewable energy, smart landscapes and gardening, sustainable home design and green building, night sky lighting and enjoyment, and sustainable products and design. The Festival will have more than 100 vendors and exhibitors and a full-day of content-expert speakers.
In addition, the Festival will have a variety of hands-on learning activities for children, a one-stop Hill Country wine tour for grownups, a live music stage, a smorgasbord of food trailers, tiny home showcase, tricked out travel trailers, and more! It will be a fun-filled day of connection with both urban and rural dwellers within our region. Get more information at RainwaterRevival.com.
In association with the Festival, the Hill Country Alliance is holding an online raffle of many exciting experiential opportunities and products, including a two night stay at the Cool River Cabin on the Llano River, a guided nature and birding adventure, a 150 gallon rain tank, a Bracken Bat Cave experience for ten, a guided kayak trip on the Llano River, a Yeti Tundra cooler, exclusive wine tastings, and more. Raffle tickets can be purchased at RainwaterRevivalRaffle.com.
Funds raised from the online raffle will support HCA’s School Grant Program to support Texas Hill Country Schools in their efforts to reduce water usage on their campuses and educate students about the importance water conservation. One hundred percent of the proceeds from the 2017 Rainwater Revival Raffle will be awarded directly to Hill Country Schools for the installation and/or maintenance of rainwater harvesting systems and water conservation education programs.
The online raffle begins September 21st and ends Friday, November 3rd. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase in person at the 2017 Rainwater Revival + Hill Country Living Festival on November 4th and the winners will be drawn and announced before the close of the event. You do not need to be present to win but we hope to see you there!
