The Burnet County Fair and Rodeo Association are celebrating “The Golden Years” with a 50th anniversary celebration, June 9th, 10th and 11th, 2016. All Fair events will be held at Burnet Community Center or the Hill Country Foundation Building, located at 401 E. Jackson Street. The Burnet County Rodeo will be held at the Houston Clinton Arena located at 1301 Houston Clinton Drive, Burnet, Texas.
All area Counties’ Bell, Blanco, Lampasas, Llano, San Saba, Williamson and Travis are eligible to enter items in the different divisions of the fair. For more information please visit the web site at www.BurnetCountyfair.com.
On Friday, June 10 we will have ongoing demonstrations and exhibits in the Hill Country Foundation Building located across the street from the community center. There will be a display of Antique Sewing Machines, Burnet Historical Commission will give a presentation, Baylor Scott and White Hospital will be taking blood pressures and a presentation. A demonstration and tasting on” Making Cheese” the quick and simple way. A Bee expert will have a display and answer questions concerning raising Bees and why Bees are important life. A Feral Hog display, Central Texas Ground Water District with a display, Rainwater Harvesting and Collection, and many more very interesting displays and demonstrations. The highlight of the day is a cooking demonstration by Linda Sue Wells “Making Memories at Mealtime”. So make plans to come and spend the day at the Fair.
