Mon, August 17, 2015 3:26 PM

The music, the crafts, and the camping begin on Friday September 4th and continue through the evening concert on Sunday September 6th. The Kennedy Theater Mainstage concerts include a wide range of fun bands like Dana Louise and the Glorious Birds (Dana is the daughter of Ezra Idlet one half of the famed duo Trout Fishing in America. Ezra and Keith will both be playing in the band as 'the birds') and Bottom Dollar String Band, Tex-Mex Honky Tonk by the Tejas Brothers and many all-time favorite songwriters like John Gorka, Chuck Pyle, Gretchen Peters, Eric Taylor, Mike Blakely, Shake Russell and Dana Cooper. Returning after much time back in their home in Australia is Bluehouse, a duo with independent record sales exceeding 100,000 units and a self-sustaining and highly successful national and international touring circuit for over 20 years

The 10th annual Music Camp for Teens was held at Quiet Valley Ranch July 19 - 23rd. This camp is collaboration between the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Texas and the Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation. The Festival will feature a concert on Saturday afternoon from 1 - 3PM at the Threadgill Theater in the campgrounds which will include artists from the camp faculty and supporting organizations like Shoulder to the Stone and Music Doing Good and teens from the camp. The Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation board members, past and present, will serve a pancake breakfast before the concert on Saturday at 11:30AM for $10. The money will go to support the Music Camp.

This event includes seminars and tasting booths for Texas wines and Texas Microbrews. The seminar for Texas wines and food pairings will be on Saturday from 3:30 - 5:30PM and the seminar for Microbrews on Sunday. The Crafts Booths in the Kennedy Theater Mainstage are staffed with wine makers and brew masters and a choice of tastings during the evening concerts.

A VIP Party ticket package is also available. Included in the package are tickets for the 3 day Festival, heavy hors-d'oeuvres buffet and beverages all three nights and private access to a hosted area in the back of the main Kennedy Outdoor Theater. Also included is a gift bag with Festival memorabilia, new and historic.
