The 14th Annual Texas Masters of Fine Art and Craft Invitational Show will be Friday, May 26, through Sunday, May 28, as 25 award-winning Texas artists transform the ballrooms of the Y.O. Ranch Hotel into a breath-taking gallery of original artwork. Now, in its fourteenth year, the Texas Masters show has earned a reputation as a high quality, artist-planned and managed “Collectors’ Showcase” in a beautiful air conditioned environment. Southwestern art aficionados travel from all over the country for their annual Texas art immersion Memorial Weekend in Kerrville.
Each of the 25 artists invited to exhibit is a recognized master of his or her chosen media which will include oil paintings, ceramics, watercolors, pastels, metalsmithing, jewelry, leatherwork, quiltwork, woodworking and sculpture.

Downtown Kerrville will become a free festival from the county courthouse to the Guadalupe River with the 4th Annual Kerrville Festival of the Arts, a juried fine arts and crafts event featuring 125 artists in the 700-800 blocks of Water Street & 200 Earl Garrett St. on Saturday and Sunday, May 27 – 28. The show, presented by the non-profit Kerrville Festival of the Arts, Inc., supports and encourages the arts in the Hill Country through scholarships for art-related studies.
LuAnn Anderson, show producer, said. “Now in our fourth year, we feel like we have the highest quality artists that we’ve had to date, coming from throughout the Southwest representing the fields of painting, graphics, glass, wood, ceramics, metal, fiber, jewelry, multimedia, photography and sculpture.”
Show hours are 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. each day. There will be street performances, wine tasting and lots of other opportunities for family fun. Admission to the festival is free of charge with ample parking nearby.

The Hill Country Quilt Guild Show will be at Schreiner University, in Edington Gym, 2100 Memorial Blvd., Kerrville, 78028. One of the great Texas traditions returning for its 46th edition is the Kerrville Folk Festival. This internationally acclaimed gathering of musicians is held annually at the Quiet Valley Ranch, 9 miles south of Kerrville on Texas Hwy 16. The Folk Festival runs from May 25 – June 11, 2017, with performances by more than 100 singer-songwriters and their bands.
