Tommie was born December 8, 1952 to Tommie Ross Turner Sr and Betsy Robinson Turner. He grew up in what used to be the “small” town of Frisco, on a farm. He attended Texas A&M on a rodeo scholarship, returning to his farming and ranching family life after a serious bull riding accident. Several years later, he became a successful entrepreneur, building a large advertising firm in Dallas.
