Dennis Morris Smith, loving husband, father, Papa and friend, passed away July 9, 2021 at his family ranch just west of Blanco. Dennis was born Aug. 21, 1951 in the Historic Original Blanco County Courthouse, which later became a hospital for a number of years. His family originally settled in the Blanco area in 1872 when his ancestors, Nimrod and Sephronia Smith traveled on a covered wagon from Ashley, Illinois. Dennis grew up in Blanco and graduated from Blanco High School, Class of 1969.
