ON TO STATE!
The Blanco boys golf team will compete at the Class 3-A UIL State Golf Tournament Monday and Tuesday at Shadow Glen Golf Club in Manor. Jacob Gallas, pictured, will join his teammates, Trayton Preiss, Jake Broyles, Mitchell Dalland, Wyatt Ledesma and Cooper Berne, in their quest for hardware. The team is coached by Jake Raley. “We really had to buckle down and focus on golf. We had some days we couldn’t practice. Staying positive the whole season was our goal. We had to take it one day at a time. We couldn’t look ahead,” Gallas said. With a ticket punched to state next week, this strategy obviously worked well for the team.
