Scouts host flag retirement, recruitment event
Cub Scout Pack 497, with the assistance of American Legion Memorial Highway Post 352, held a flag retirement ceremony April 28.

Cub Scout Pack 0497 held a spring recruitment event that included a flag retirement ceremony on April 28. “A national flag that is worn beyond repair may be burned in a fire. The ceremony should be conducted with dignity and respect and the flag burned completely to ashes,” according to the Boy Scouts of America. This ceremony could not have been completed without the help of local American Legion Memorial Highway Post 352.
