Lumpee tabbed mayor; Barron, McClellan win council races
City of Blanco voters elected a pair of newcomers to the political scene to municipal office, while sending one member of the council back for another term. Blanco voters handily elected Rachel Lumpee as mayor on Saturday, while Connie Baron and Keith McClellan were elected to city council positions. Mayoral race Lumpee, in her first race for office, bested Phil Thompson by a 225 to 108 tally in unofficial results released by the city.
