Solo and ensemble success for the BHS band
Congratulations to Blanco Panther Band members April Bucklin, Anastasia Durham, Celeste Campa, Hailey Chalico, Hannah Bates, Cynthany Croft, Lori Lewis, Harley Hensley, Logan McIntosh, Jess Whitehead, Natalia Hernandez, Buddy Hunt and Bruno Lopez for receiving first division ratings on their solos. Special congratulations to April, Hannah, Cynthany, Harley, Buddy, and Bruno for qualifying for the UIL State Solo & Ensemble Contest with their solos. Blanco also had four ensembles compete, and all four received first division ratings and will advance to state. Congrats to the BHS flute quartet of April Bucklin, Anastasia Durham, Celeste Campa and Grant Baker; the clarinet trio of Cynthany Croft, Rayne Cox and Kole Saylor; the sax trio of Harley Hensley, Jess Whitehead and Logan McIntosh; and the percussion ensemble of Bruno Lopez, Buddy Hunt, Jake Broyles, Miguel Avila, Noe Alegria, Nezzie Meek, Robert St. James, Kole Saylor and Julian Pesina. In total, Blanco will have 21 students taking 10 events to the state contest!
