Positions drawn for municipal election ballot
Four of the seven candidates for the May 1 city elections gather at Blanco City Hall on Feb. 25 to draw for position on the ballot. City secretary Laurie Cassidy (left) supervised the drawing. The candidates participating in the drawing, from left, are Connie Barron, Rachel Lumpee, Matt Herden and Keith McClellan. Barron, Herden, McClellan, Andrew Forsberg and Andrew Sorrell are running for seats on the city council. Two spots are up in the May election. Lumpee and Phil Thompson are seeking to become mayor. Early voting begins April 19 and election day is May 1.
