BRINGING HELP TO BLANCO
Blanco mayor pro-tem Martin Sauceda coordinates the unloading of pallets of bottled water from four helicopters from the Army National Guard’s Aviation Unit from Austin on February 23. The unit delivered water supplies to communities in need throughout Central Texas. Four Blackhawk helicopters from the unit landed at Blanco High School to offload the supplies. Despite the fact that much of the city regained access to tap water at that time, a boil water notice remained in effect until Friday making the newly delivered bottled water much appreciated.
