FROZEN OVER IN 1951
Foy Wagner sent this newspaper clipping from 1951. He writes, “My uncle ,Weldon Jonas, has this picture from the Blanco paper from 1951. They are standing on the river in the park just below the low water bridge.” Pictured, from left, are: Wallace “Tooter” Wagner, either RV Wagner or Jackie Smith (my uncle wasn’t sure), Weldon Jonas and Glen Page. The original cutline read, “BLANCO RIVER...frozen over in our “Yankee Norther” from January 28 to February 3, 1951.”
