Friends of the Night Sky honor county commissioners
Jerry Thompson, of the Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky, on Jan. 26 presents County Judge Brett Bray and the Blanco County Commissioners Court a Hill Country Alliance (HCA) certificate in appreciation for the county’s participation in the Hill Country Night Sky Month. Thompson thanked the court for its efforts to support of the night sky in Blanco County, particularly its efforts to support HCA’s Night Sky Friendly Neighborhood Program. Judge Bray reciprocated the compliment by highlighting all that the Hill Country Alliance and the Blanco County Friends of the Night Sky do to educate citizens and businesses about light pollution and night sky preservation.
