Nelson takes top spot in Lions Club-sponsored peace poster contest at BMS
Calla Nelson’s art (top left) took the top spot in the Lions Club peace poster contest held at Blanco Middle School. There were 57 entries in the contest. Miley Brock’s art (bottom left) took second, while the work of Erin Mahoney (right) took third place.

Every year, Lions Club International sponsors the Peace Poster art contest in schools and youth groups around the world. This year, a contest was held at Blanco Middle School. This year for the first time, the Blanco Lions Club hosted its own Peace Poster art contest at Blanco Middle School with the help of Kris Baker, BMS art teacher.
