Vivian Kay Sublett, 80, of Blanco, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 22, 2020 in Kingsland.
Vivian was born March 28, 1940, in Detroit, Michigan to Kenneth C. Pellett and Marce (Johnson) Pellett. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Tommy A. Sublett in March of 2019.
Vivian and Tommy were foster parents for over forty-seven years where they took care of 287 foster children who they loved and help mold into responsible and happy young men and women. Vivian and Tommy were married for nearly fifty years. They loved square dancing and spending time with their family and friends.
Vivian is survived by her daughter, Laura Byrd and her husband David of Missouri City; sons, Kenneth Sublett and Cheryl Stubbs of Dickinson, Richard Sublett and Lynda of Deer Park, Tommy Allen Sublett and Anita of Blanco, and Chris Sublett and Traycie of Pasadena; daughter-in-law, Leslie Beattie of Clear Lake; brother, Larry Pellett; eight grandchildren, Krystal, Reannon, Jessie, Chase, Taylor, Dylan, Austin and Julia; one great granddaughter, Kinley Boyle and another on the way.
Visitation will take place from 2-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, at Crofts-Crow Funeral Home in Blanco with a Chapel Service to follow at 3 p.m. Burial will follow at Miller Creek Cemetery in Johnson City.
