Blanco wrapped up its pre-district schedule with wins over Burnet and San Antonio Home School.
The Lady Panthers (11-6) had a five-set win against the Lady Dawgs Sept. 18 with set scores of 20-25, 25-14, 21-25, 25-17 and 15-11.
Presley Young led the Panthers with 24 kills, two aces and 15 digs. Emilee LaRue hit 14 kills and one ace, adding seven digs and one assist. Elin Kaiser hit eight kills, one block and one ace. Kaiser also made 16 digs and one assist. Olivia Atchley set the ball for 47 assists. Atchley also had two kills, two blocks, one ace and 13 digs. Raylee Faris hit four blocks and Casey Eskew made three blocks. Jaycie Gloor had 10 digs. Lily Porter served one ace.
In the shutout win over the Saints, the Lady Panthers won 25-9, 25-17 and 25-20.
LaRue hit nine kills and made nine digs. Young totaled seven kills, two aces, five digs and one assist. Atchley made five kills, two aces, eight digs, 15 assists and one block. Carly Romero hit four kills and two blocks. Faris tallied two kills, two aces, two digs and two blocks. Gloor had 10 digs, one ace and five assists. Porter made seven digs and two assists.
The junior varsity and freshman teams both won their matches against the SA Saints, but lost to Burnet.
District competition started Tuesday, Sept. 22 against the Comfort Deer. The Panthers travel to Lago Vista Friday, Sept. 25 to play the Vikings.
