Annie Gwendolyn “Gwen” Gillaspia

Annie Gwendolyn “Gwen” Gillaspia passed away peacefully on Aug. 19, 2020 surrounded by family and friends. She was born Dec. 27, 1936 to Carroll Jacob Coffee and Eva Mae White Coffee in Cotulla, Texas.

She is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Martin, Cynthia Boyd and Becky Gillaspia; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and brother Charles Coffee. She was predeceased by Zerl Douglas Gillaspia, her husband of 64 years, and daughter Carol Page.

Gwen was a generous, beautiful, kind and gracious woman. Her vivacious spirit, infectious smile, and contagious laugh will never be forgotten. Gwen was a talented and outstanding artist. She enjoyed photography, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She found great joy in raising her four daughters, being the best wife, and creating a warm, inviting home which was filled with love. She was an incredible wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her memory lives on through the many people she touched throughout her life. Gwen lived life to the fullest and never lost her spark and sense of humor. She taught us always to smile big, laugh loud, and live hard. Forever loved - forever missed

Graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 29, at Blanco Historic Cemetery.
