The Blanco High School varsity and junior varsity cheer squads attended camp at the BHS gym Monday, June 29 through Wednesday, July 1.

Universal Cheer Association instructors for the camp were Jessica Campbell, Joshua Perez, Lexi Esparza and Guillermo Garza. The instructors taught stunts, sideline cheers and chants.

The squad received a 2020 Superior Trophy for their showcase performance. All-American Award recipients were Dawson Cox, Abby Nichols, Ava Romero, Avery Nance, Mackenzie Topper, Evelyn Trammell, Meadow Schlinke and Skyler Soldwisch. Mackenzie Topper received a Spirit Stick for having spirit and a positive attitude. Evelyn Trammell and Dawson Cox were the recipients of the Pin It Forward Awards. They, in turn, gave their awards to RoAnna Acosta and Meadow Schlinke.

Torrance Uballe received a Superior Ribbon for the mascot dance-off. Abby Nichols, Evelyn Trammell and Avery Nance won individual Superior Ribbons in the jump-off. Meadow Schlinke was awarded the Spirit Stick for the week.
