Robin Bruce Somerville, age 77, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at Ascension-Seaton hospital in Austin, with his family by his side. Robin was a beloved husband, father, and papa.
Robin was born in Newbury, Berkshire UK, on April 19, 1942 to Arthur and Dorthy Somerville. He came to the United States on July 4, 1979.
He was semi-retired from a career that spanned various businesses and industries. He held many different job titles, from law and banking to environmental engineering. He holds five patents for his environmental protection inventions. He was a well-rounded, educated man with amazing life stories.
Following his semi-retirement, he and his wife Faye, moved to Blanco, where he quickly became a respected and popular member of the community. He was an active member of St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church, where he served on the Bishops committee. He was President of “Friends of the Blanco Library” and President of “The Blanco Performing Arts.” Robin was a great man of many talents and great knowledge. He and Faye enjoyed great travels in the U.S., Mexico, Europe and Russia, making new friends and great memories.
He joined both his parents, a daughter, and many dogs and cats in Heaven. He is survived by his wife, Faye; daughters, Tracey Bourque and husband Scotty; Tiffany Kirk and husband James; and son Chris White and wife Gretchen. He leaves behind seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; Megan Boudreaux and daughter Hazel Boudreaux, Madison Bourque and fiancé Tyler Moran, Zachary Bourque, Gavin Kirk, Katelyn, Allison, and Marshall White. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Pico, and dog, Panda. He is also survived by six brothers and three sisters who currently reside in England and Ireland.

A memorial service will be held at St. Michaels and All Angels Episcopal Church in Blanco on June 27 at 10:30 a.m.
