Wrapping up an outstanding season for the Lady Panthers
The Lady Panther basketball team members received many post-season honors following their outstanding season. The players and the honors they received are, from left, Meadow Schlinke, first team all-district and academic all-district; Presley Young, district offensive MVP, academic all-district and all-region; Olivia Atchley, second team all-district and academic all-district; Casey Eskew, academic all-district; Kora Brock, second team all-district; Emilee LaRue, first team all-district and academic all-district; Haleigh Charles, district sixth man of the year; Alexia Lopez, academic all-district; Catherine Seymour, academic all-district; and Lily Porter, academic all-district.

The Lady Panther basketball team wrapped up their season with a 25-8 season record and a 10-2 District 25-3A record. Blanco lost in the Area round of playoffs to the state-ranked Schulenburg Lady Horns, 41-32, Feb. 21. Schulenburg lost in the state semi-finals to the eventual state champion, Shallowater. “I thought we really came a long way this season,” said head coach Matt Karnes.
