BES teacher wins VFW Citizenship Education Teacher award
Jennifer Kramer, right, a third grade teacher at Blanco Elementary School, won the Veterans of Foreign Wars award for promoting citizen education. She won both the area and district award, which includes the following counties: Comal, Hays, Caldwell, Gonzales and Guadalupe.

A third-grade teacher at Blanco Elementary School immediately thought of her father when the principal told her that she was being nominated for the Veterans of Foreign Wars Citizenship Education Teacher of the Year Award.
