DEDICATING THE SEASON
The 2020 Blanco baseball seniors signed a Panther baseball helmet and presented it to Mrs. Florine Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 4. The presentation was made in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Lord, who have been dedicated Blanco fans for decades. Mr. Lord, age 99, passed away in December. Head baseball coach Bryan Wyatt stated, “We are dedicating the season to Mr. Lord. We will be putting a sticker on our helmets with his initials. Both Mr. and Mrs. Lord have been very special to our athletic programs.” The Lords rarely missed a Blanco football or baseball game. After the 2019 baseball team finished the season in June as the state finalist, Mr. Lord treated the entire team to a meal. This was a perfect example of the support the Lords have shown Blanco athletes for years.
