Non-profit look: Lions serve the local community

The Blanco Lions Club was founded in 1937 by Roy Byars and is an affiliate of the Lions Club International formed in 1917. The club’s mission statement is “Lions serve. Our clubs are places where individuals join together to give their valuable time and effort to improving their communities, and the world.” The nonprofit groups works on many projects throughout the year, including selling raffle tickets at the football games for scholarships for high school seniors, the Stuff the Bus ...
