PANTHER BAND MARCHES ON TO AREA
The Blanco Panther Band shows off their hardware after they received straight Division I ratings from the judges at the Region 12 UIL Marching Contest Saturday, Oct. 19 at Heroes Stadium in Northeast ISD in San Antonio. The band performed its show entitled Cryptomundial. The band will compete at the UIL 3A Area Marching Contest Saturday, Oct. 26 at A C Jones High School Veterans Memorial Stadium in Beeville. The Blanco band will perform at 2:15 p.m. The top 12 bands of the 31 area qualifiers will march for a chance to advance to state in the finals beginning at 7:30 p.m. The band is directed by Jonathan VanOmmeren and Danette Conard.
