Just a 45-minute drive away from Blanco, you can visit the largest commercial caverns in Texas: The Natural Bridge Caverns. In 1960, four St. Mary’s University students, Orion Knox Jr., Preston Knodell, Al Brandt and Joe Cantu were convinced that large caverns existed below the property’s natural 60-foot bridge.
