Members of the Blanco American Legion Memorial Highway Post 352 welcomed the “American Legion Riders” as they made their way to Blanco as part of the American Legion Centennial Celebration ride on U.S. Hwy. 281 from Pharr, Texas to celebrate the Legion’s 100th birthday. About 20 riders and support team vehicles arrived at the Blanco American Legion Post 352 at 5:30 p.m.. Aug. 1 in time for dinner at the Post. They spent the night on their way to meet a group of riders originating in North Dakota at the half-way mark in Great Bend, Kan.
