Blanco Scouts Win Fifth Annual Canoe Race
The Blanco Canoe Race, hosted by the Blanco Boy Scout Troop #497, brought 120 paddlers representing 14 Boy Scout troops from the central Texas region. Troops from Austin, Bastrop, Burnet, Hutto, Marble Falls, Pflugerville, San Marcos and Taylor joined the Blanco troop to camp Friday night, April 27 at Klepac Greenhouses by the Blanco River. Race heats started promptly at 9 a.m.
