Blanco County Offers Support in Aftermath of Hurricane Harvey

Blanco public safety, business and community resources sprang into action to provide services and support to those impacted by Hurricane Harvey. Blanco Volunteer Fire Department sent a water rescue team, led by Blanco Fire Chief Matt McMain and volunteers Danny Alba and Joe Ortega, which deployed to Houston on Aug. 28. “On our way to check-in in Houston, most of the roads were completely blocked by water,” said Chief McMain.
