Time to Plant for Fall
August is the month to plant late fall vegetables and prepare for garden soil. Remove old plants and weeds. Add a healthy amount of compost to your garden and flower beds. You may prepare the planting areas several days before planting. Just add a small amount of fertilizer in the bottom of each hole.
